The State Championship Race at Foothills BMX track in Torrington, was run on September 7th. Morris was also the winner of the 2007 LEAP (Local Earned Award Program) at his home track, the Bethel Supercross. Seth was the top scoring rookie of 113 rookies eligible for the honor.

The National Bicycle League is affiliated with USA Cycling, the only national cycling federation in the US recognized by the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale). UCI is the International governing body for Cycling who in turn worked with the International Olympic Committee to ensure that every country with BMX racing was eligible to qualify riders for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China.
